As if by Magic......

As far fetched as it seems, "From Bricky to Commentator" wouldn't be a film, but more of a comedy show! Only because of the exploits it has allowed me be part of and witness. Broadcasting was never a thought for me, until one day sat with my son on my lap in the Beech Road stand at Oxford United where I started to talking to a local radio reporter whilst he had his comfort break Ciggie, he invited me on the Radio for a game and I loved it. After a few pats on the back from people who heard my efforts, I decided to give it a go. So I headed off into the world of Hospital Radio, and at Radio Cherwell in the Oxford Hospitals, the team I headed up won the National HBA Sports Output Award 3 years running! With my mix of Building Site banter, Commentary and a panache for saying it how it was coming to the fore! Jack Fm's irreverent way of doing a football show was music to my ears for my next call, as we covered Oxford United for 6 years in a completely different style to the norm. We created a whole new audience & converting many others to our new approach to football. The BBC came calling after this & I joined up with the well established team, bringing a new twist on twitter ( including a 1.3 million hit for a goal being scored behind me) before new challenges gave me the opportunity to work for talkSPORT.  I continued to work for BBC Oxford with a 3 hour Tuesday night Grass Roots Sports Show between 7 & 10 at night which continually pulled in figures similar to the day time schedule, which was no mean feat going up against traditional goggle box times. This has also enabled me to work on the sporting side for many BBC regions, Including commentating on 5Live extra. I continue to freelance for the customers shown on my site and have added other strings to my bow, if you want a honest, funny, caring and professional approach brought to anything you are supporting then I can help! Ice Hockey commentary is a passion and so is every sport in fairness! & finally you have to feel for my wife as she is fed up with me commentating on everyday household chores! Just imagine that!
